Hohhot airport's passenger traffic hits new record

Hohhot Baita International Airport said its passenger traffic had reached 12 million on Dec 26, an increase of 17.6 percent year on year, setting a new record.

So far, the airport's passenger traffic has maintained a good momentum in growth, far beyond the industry level.

According to statistics, the airport received 1.07 million passengers per day, an increase of 38.5 percent year on year.

This year, many breakthroughs were made in air transport take-off and landing, mainline models, flight occupancy, and the flight on-schedule rate.

The airport has established direct links with 75 cities.

Hohhot airport currently has 40 airlines operating 198 routes. While maintaining the stable operation of the existing international and regional flights, the first inter-continental direct flight route between Hohhot and Moscow was opened on July 8, and the Hohhot and Hong Kong routes were resumed on May 15.
