Tianhe CBD shines on global stage

The Guangzhou Tianhe Central Business District (CBD), one of the top three CBDs in China, once again shined on the global stage when it was selected as vice president of a Global Business Districts Innovation Club event recently held in Paris, France.

The Global Business Districts Innovation Club is a non-profit organization that connects international business districts with resources to keep them competitive in an ever-changing world. The club has five members- Chicago Loop Alliance, Paris La Defense, Guangzhou Tianhe CBD, Beijing CBD, and Montreal Destination Centre-Ville.

As the only member of the Global Business Districts Innovation Club in South China, the Tianhe CBD is gaining more and more global influence and becoming increasingly recognized by the international community.  

The Tianhe CBD currently houses 201 project institutions established by 142 Fortune Global 500 companies, 32 foreign banks, and 51 foreign consulates in Guangzhou. As a window into Guangzhou, the CBD has gradually acquired its own global business network.

In recent years, a large number of foreign institutions and projects have set up operations in the business district. The Global Business Districts Innovation Club is expected to provide the Tianhe CBD with more exchange opportunities and attract more investment to the area, helping it develop into a truly world-class CBD.
