Two Ordos companies listed in top global 500 energy enterprises

Two companies in Ordos, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, were ranked in the list of top global 500 energy enterprises, according to the 2018 Assessment Report on Global Competitiveness of Energy Enterprises released in Hong Kong, on Dec 17.

The two Ordos companies are Inner Mongolia Yitai Coal Co, which ranked 155th on the list and Elion Resources, which took the 298th spot. 

The report was released by the research team led by Xu Qinhua, director of the Center for International Energy Strategy at Renmin University of China. 

Based on filtering and quantitative processing of operating data from nearly 700 energy companies from across the world, the top 500 energy enterprises were selected and ranked by their competitiveness score. 

In addition, six other reports including the lists for the top 30 coal companies, top 100 oil and gas companies, 100 power companies, 100 renewable energy companies, 20 companies for energy equipment manufacturing and services, and top 100 Chinese enterprises were also released.
