Jinan Lingang Economic Development Zone

Jinan Lingang Economic Development Zone is of national level and adjacent to Jinan International Yaoqiang Airport. To provide a better business environment for enterprises, the zone's planning land was extended to Guodian and Dongjia regions in January 2017.

The zone is designed to cover 69 square kilometers and 31 of those will be used for construction. To build the zone in line with international standards, the well-known Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited was invited to create industrial planning for the zone. Five major areas will be constructed: Jinan Ecological Smart Valley, Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Park, Biomedical Industry Park and High-end Logistics Industry Park.

The zone's railway freight hub, which is still under construction, is expected to promote the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative and support the regular operation of trains running between China and Europe.

So far, 4 billion yuan ($577.22 million) has been invested in expanding the zone. As much as 760 million yuan was used for the construction of a road network and the 120,000-sq-km Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Park.
