Jinan Huaiyin Industrial Park grew out of the Limei Lake Tourism Economic Development Zone. It was launched in 1993 and upgraded as a privately run scientific industrial park by the municipal government of Jinan in 1995, making it one of the first four State-level non-governmental scientific and technological parks in China.
In 2005, it passed the establishment review for development zones nationwide, and in 2006, the park was approved as a provincial-level economic development zone and given its current name.
Thanks to the leadership of the municipal and district governments and the CPC municipal and district committees, the park has maintained robust growth and continuously optimized its industrial structure, greatly improved its economic aggregate, facilities and services, attracting many promising enterprises to settle there.
At present, it houses a group of high-tech and modern service industrial clusters ranging from intelligent manufacturing, new materials and satellite communications. It is home to Joyoung Smart Home Appliances, Jingyang Robot, Tianhe Beidou Information Technology, Shandong Wangxun Supply Chain Management, China, Resources Pharmaceutical, Tianyue Silicon Carbide Substrate Material, and Shandong Electric Power Maintenance Base. Among them, China's leading private home appliance manufacturer Joyoung Co Ltd and Jinan Changlin Airbag Co are leaders that master core technologies and set national standards in their industries.
