Xianghua Street can be regarded as one of the most popular commercial streets in Putuo Mountain Scenic Area. It was built in the Qing Dynasty (1636-1912) under the reign of Kangxi and became a commercial area in the late Qing Dynasty.
The street is only about 300 meters long, but the shops are various, presenting the style of ancient streets. This street, together with the nearby alleys, hutongs and monasteries, brings people back to a bygone age.
It serves all kinds of souvenirs and dried seafood products to the visitors.
