Zhanjiang's nightscape will be transformed as multicolored lights will soon sweep over the city, enhancing both its natural and urban sights.
Costing 22.56 million yuan ($3.3 million), the first phase of Zhanjiang's urban lighting project will mainly involve buildings along Leshan Road, Sanfan Square and Airport Road. The plan passed the initial review stage in September.
The second phase, which focuses on Jinsha Bay, Xiashan Gold Coast and Haibin Park, will cost 26.7 million yuan.
The third phase will include the French-styled streets of Xiashan district, Zhanjiang Museum, railway stations, bus stations and part of Leshan Road. It will entail an investment of around 30 million yuan.
The skyline of Jinsha Bay will also be lit up, costing 13.09 million yuan. Plans for the second and third phases and the skyline project have recently been submitted for review.
