The government of Ordos in Inner Mongolia autonomous region signed cooperation deals with 10 research institutes and companies to promote the exploration of intellectual resources in Ordos, at a meeting held in Beijing, on Dec 21.
The meeting was attended by Sun Jianli, director of the human resources market department of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security; Qibixiletu, director of the standing committee of Ordos municipal people’s congress; Gao Zhansheng, director of Ordos united front work department; Yu Renjie, vice-mayor of Ordos, as well as other representatives from human resource institutes, associations and companies.
During the meeting, Qibixiletu made remarks highlighting the role of intellectual resources in promoting social and economic development in a region.
He said that intellectual resources are soft power and are critical to regional prosperity.
“Ordos is having an unprecedentedly stronger thirst for skilled workers than ever before as the city is entering a period of high-quality development,” added Qibixiletu.
He expressed his hopes that intellectual resource institutes, associations and companies would further enhance cooperation with Ordos in more areas and more innovative patterns.
Sun Jianli highly praised Ordos’ efforts in exploring intellectual resources, wishing that the city would further improve its human resource market system, optimize its human resource market, make more efforts in attracting skilled workers and fully promote the development of its human resource service industry.
Representatives from different human resource organizations proposed their suggestions on building the human resource market in Ordos.
They vowed that they would fully use their own advantages and promote in-depth cooperation and exchanges with Ordos to support the development of the city.
At last, the government of Ordos signed deals with the Chinese Academy of Human Resource Affairs, Chinese Academy of Labour and Social Security, the School of Labour and Human Resources at Renmin University of China, China Association of Foreign Service Industry, Beijing Association of Human Resource Service, Shanghai Association of Human Resource Service Industry, Beijing Foreign Enterprise Human Resources Co Ltd, Shanghai Foreign Service (Group) Co Ltd, China International Intellectech Co Ltd and Career International.
According to the agreement, Ordos will cooperate with these organizations and companies in areas of theoretical research, policy-making counseling, skilled workers training, business incubation, improvement of information-oriented capabilities and construction of industrial parks.
