The city of Guangzhou will host the Guangzhou Finals of the 2018 Longines China Tour Hong Kong Jockey Cup in January 2019, according to a press conference by the Chinese Equestrian Association on Dec 20.
The finals will be held at the Guangdong Huangcun Sport Training Center from Jan 3 to 6 and will be the first major Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) event held in China.

According to organizers, four events will be held during the competition, with the bonus pool reaching 1.53 million yuan ($222,000).
According to Zhong Guowei, secretary general of the Chinese Equestrian Association, the China Equestrian Tournament has been held for six consecutive years, witnessing the development of equestrian sports in China during that time. In the future, the Chinese Equestrian Association plans to continue stimulating the economy through a series of reforms that will allow it to host more high-quality events.

In addition to the main event, organizers will also set up entertainment and interactive zones, allowing visitors to eat while enjoying equestrian performances.
