Located south of Suzhou's Wujiang city, Wujiang Free Trade Zone was set up in June 2005 approved by the State Council and went through an integration optimization in January 2015, covering an area of one square kilometer.
Now it has well-equipped facilities, including standard plants covering 120,000 square meters, bonded warehouse of 100,000 sq m and 1,500 sq m of dormitories.
By the end of October 2017, a total of 25 companies had settled down in the area, including 15 foreign-invested companies, mostly managing electronic information, equipment manufacturing and logistics transport.
In the first 10 months of 2017, a total of 125,700 declarations for imported commodities were made in the area, up 391 percent year-on-year and the value of import and export commodities the zone supervised reached $11.71 billion with a year-on-year increase of 336.5 percent.
