The China Youth Development Foundation (CYDF), based in Beijing, is a national public foundation registered at the Ministry of Civil Affairs. It was founded in March, 1989 by the All China Youth Federation. With support from the public of all walks of life, the foundation is dedicated to youth development and has been designated by the State as a 5A foundation.
CYDF is committed to helping young people build capacity and to improving the environment for their growth by providing aid services, giving a voice to their interests and carrying out social advocacy. Over the years, based on a common mission, shared values and ethical standards, CYDF has set up a network with 38 local Youth Development Foundations.
Project Hope was launched by CYDF in October, 1989. It is one of the most extensive, influential and widely supported philanthropic programs in China.
CYDF has won many awards like National Hero Group for Earthquake Relief, Excellent Non-Governmental Organizations, China Poverty Elimination Award, and China Charity Award.
