PRC Cradle Tourism Area, Ruijin

Covering an area of 4,550 mu (303.33 hectares), the PRC Cradle Tourism Area is a national 5A-level scenic spot including four red scenic spots: Yeping, Hongjing, the auditorium used by China Soviet Republic, and Chinese Soviet Republic Memorial Garden.

Yepin Scenic Spot is located in Yepin village, Ruijin. It is the birthplace of the Chinese Soviet Republic Government and the first site of the Chinese Soviet Republic in Ruijin. There are 23 revolutionary sites and buildings in Yeping, including 16 that are important historical monuments under special preservation. Meanwhile, Hongjing Scenic Spot is home to 35 revolutionary houses, eight of which are important historical monuments under special preservation.

The auditorium used by China Soviet Republic was built for holding the second National Soviet Congress in 1934. It is a large and unique auditorium in the shape of red army’s hat. In addition, visitors can also get into the air raid shelter at the back of the auditorium and climb the hills beside the auditorium.

The Chinese Soviet Republic Memorial Garden is located in the west of Ruijin city. It is a large red tourism park with the functions of revolutionary traditional education, nature and leisure. The garden is divided into two parts. The south part has attractions such as Revolutionary Martyr Memorial and Red Army Martyrs Pavilion, and the north part is the historical museum of Central Revolutionary Base Area. It also holds other scenic spots that attract tourists from around the country, including the cultural square and several sculptures.
