Located in Yueqing county of Wenzhou city, Zhejiang province, Yandang Mountain is one of the China's top 10 must-see mountains. Famous for its magnificent peaks, waterfalls and caves, Yandang Mountain was honored a “World Geopark” by UNESCO in 2005.

There is a lake at the top of Yandang Mountain, which is a haven for wild geese, hence the name "Yandang". Covering 450 square kilometers, the place features volcanic rocks, deep valleys, precipitous peaks, mysterious caves and strange rock formations.

There are more than 500 scenic spots scattered through eight major scenic areas, the most famous of which are the Three Best Wonders – the Spiritual Peaks, Dalongjiu Waterfall and the Spiritual Rocks.

Notes:
Weekends are peak travel time. Train and bus tickets are very difficult to buy and the accommodation is often full. Also, the Spiritual Peaks are even more dazzling at night, so don't miss them.
