Chengziya Site Museum [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]
Located on the eastern side of Wuyuan River, Longshan Town in Zhangqiu City, Chengziya site was chosen in the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Department in 1961. It was the first primitive site that Chinese archaeologists discovered, and it plays a very important role in the study and understanding of Chinese Neolithic culture. The discovery of a Xia Dynasty (c. 21st century-16th century BC) city site filled the gap in the history of China's early development of cities. It is open all year round from 8 am to 5 pm, free of charge.
Address: 1 kilometer west of Longshan Street Office, Zhangqiu, Jinan
