A lithium ion battery cathode material project is currently under construction in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to a Dec 18 Baotou Daily report.
More than 200 million yuan ($29 million) has been invested in the project and construction will be completed in 2019.
So far, the main body of a graphitization workshop has been completed. After the project is put into production, it is expected to realize an annual output value of some 600 million yuan and will provide employment for more than 150 people.
