China Root Art Expo Garden, Zhejiang province

China Root Art Expo Garden is at Kaihua, Zhejiang province.The scenic area has abundant natural and cultural landscapes. It is also the only scenic area in the world that is themed on root culture, and thus was chosen as a National 5A level tourist area.
Created by the Chinese root carving master, Xu Guqing, the scenic area covers 3 square kilometers and has nearly 30 scenic spots, including the Root Palace Buddhist Nation, History Classical Person Museum in 5,000 Years and the Root Pagoda.
It is home to more than 160 species of root plants and 36 species of root birds. More than 5,000 pieces of root bonsai (mini landscapes) and 2,000 pieces of root carving relating to all kinds of cultural themes are on display.
