Guangfu Ancient Town, Handan

Guangfu Ancient Town, a city with a 2,600 year history, is located in Handan city, Hebei province. It sits at the center of Yongnianwa wetland, making it a unique water town in North China.
The ancient walls of the town dating back to the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) are still well preserved, which draws both domestic and foreign tourists.
The town is also the cradle of Yang-style and Wu-style tai chi which were created by Yang Luchan and Wu Yuxiang respectively in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The two styles of tai chi have a wide recognition among tai chi fans around the world. The former residences of the two creators are highlights at the scenic spot.
