Weihai Huaxia City, located in Weihai, a coastal city in Shandong province, is a large ecological culture-themed scenic area, showcasing the classic and traditional cultures of China.

Since 2003, 44 mining pits have been restored and become part of the scenic area, as part of a drive to integrate environmental improvement and tourism development.

The scenic spots built on every pit have different themes, including one fully displaying the historic culture of the era of emperors Yao, Shun and Yu, dating back to approximately 2,600 BC. Another shows the folk culture of eastern Shandong, and the underground Air Defense Education Museum. A cultural highlight of the scenic area is the large open-air performance space with real landscape as part of the show to ensure the best display of local culture and traditions.

Weihai Huaxia City is one of the best places for visitors in the region to sample traditional Chinese culture. It has become a tourist hotspot in the city.
