Three Kingdoms Town and Water Margin Town at CCTV Wuxi Movie/TV Base, Wuxi
中央电视台无锡影视基地三国水浒景区 (zhōng yāng diàn shì tái wú xī yǐng shì jī dì sān guó shuǐ hǔ jǐng qū)
Built in 1987, CCTV Wuxi Movie/TV Base was China's first park themed on movie/TV culture and tourism. It was also one of the first 5A-rated tourism attractions in China.
It contains a cluster of large classical constructions: Three Kingdom Town, Water Margin Town and Tang Dynasty Town, and also features performers who take visitors back to fascinating times of past glory.
Water Margin Town duplicates the Song Dynasty (960-1279) period and Three Kingdoms Town includes buildings reflecting the style and architecture of the Han Dynasty (220-206 BC).
There are film and TV crews working there throughout the year. In addition, some interesting inter-activities there allow tourists to meet their favorite stars, which has become one of the major attractions at the base.
