Dajiao Bay & Maritime Silk Road Tourism Area of Hailing Island, Yangjiang

Dajiao Bay is a national 5A tourism area located in the southwest of Hailing Island in Yangjiang, Guangdong province. Part of a subtropical region, it has long hours of sunshine throughout the year with 310 clear days, an average temperature of 22.8 degrees, a water temperature of 23.5 C and a rainfall of 1,816 mm. It is an ideal place for coastal tourism and vacations.
The beautiful Dajiao Bay beach has a length of 2,500 meters and a width of 100 meters. Its water quality, noise level, and air quality are first class by national standards. It also has great sand, which is of the best quality among international beaches. With bright sunshine, soft beaches, clear and pure sea water, fresh and oxygen-rich air, Dajiao Bay enjoys a good reputation at home and abroad.
With development, planning and construction, Dajiao Bay has gradually formed into three functional areas. To the east is a sports area where tourism cultural festivals are held. It is equipped with windsurfing and beach volleyball training bases. To the west is the sightseeing and leisure area where tourists can rest and enjoy tea. The central area of Dajiao Bay is the recreation area. Various experimental projects such as banana boats, motorboat water skiing, parasailing, barbecue, and bonfire are available on the beach.
Dajiao Bay also built the first large marine park in China in 2001, covering an area of 75,000 square meters. Recreation facilities in the marine park make good use of modern science and technology that can adapt to the needs of all visitors.
