Vaccination is the safest and most effective way to protect children from infectious diseases. All children should get vaccinated following the national immunization procedure.

There are 14 vaccines in China's national immunization program, which can prevent 15 diseases. Eleven vaccines for children can prevent 12 infectious diseases, including hepatitis B, poliomyelitis, measles, rubella, mumps, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis A, encephalitis B, epidemic meningitis and tuberculosis.

Current vaccine types and immunization procedures of the National Immunization Program (2016):

The interval between the two doses must be no less than three years. The interval between the first dose and the second dose of Group A meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine must be no shorter than 12 months.

The interval between the first and the second dose must be seven to ten days

Inactivated hepatitis A vaccine
