Guiyang listed among Forbes China's Best 100 Cities for Business

Known for its ecological environment, Guiyang is also getting acknowledged for its business environment. According to the 2018 China's Best 100 Cities for Business List, released by Forbes China recently, Guiyang in Southwest China's Guizhou province, ranked the 27th nationwide.

Forbes China has selected the list since 2004 based on the eight indexes of talent, city scale, consumption power, passenger transportation, freight transportation, private economy vitality, operation cost and innovation.

The list revealed the cities most suitable for business development and high quality living. Compared with previous rankings, Guiyang has ascended from 65th in 2017 to 27th this year.

A series of commercial complexes opened in Guiyang this year, which made the hotel, office, park, shopping mall, convention and apartment (HOPSCA) industries develop from regional commerce into city commerce.

Guiyang also optimized the business environment with online registration for companies, which simplified procedures and optimized processes. Companies can send in their application materials online and need to apply just once to complete new business registration.

According to statistics, the economic growth of Guiyang has ranked first among all provincial capitals in China for five years. An evaluation report of the business environment in China released by China National Radio (CNR) recently ranked the city 14th nationally after being listed 30th last year.
