Half marathon kicks off in Shanxi village

A half marathon was held in Jiajiazhuang village, Fenyang county, Shanxi province, on Dec 9 with nearly 3000 runners from 20 provinces and municipalities participating in it.

Featuring folk customs, film and rural delicacies, Jiajiazhuang village was selected by the Shanxi athletic association as the first stop for the Shanxi marathon league. Motorcycle stunts, cheerleading and local folk performances such as the Weifeng drum and gong dance were staged during the event.
