National Suihai Economic & Technological Development Area
A provincial-level development area approved by the provincial government of Heilongjiang in September 2002, the National Suihai Economic & Technological Development Area was upgraded to a State-level economic and technological development area in December 2012, when it was approved by the State Council. It has been repeatedly designated as a provincial advanced development area, provincial new industrial demonstration base, and a financial construction demonstration park in Heilongjiang province. It is also one of the 21 key industrial parks in the province.
Its planned area is 30 square kilometer, with 10.8 sq km currently built-up.
Drawing on its advantageous geographic location and resources, the area has developed five pillar industries including food and medicine, machinery and electronics, new energy and materials, new building materials, with trade and logistics, giving priority to green food and modern logistics.
In 2017, all the economic indicators of the area increased by more than 10 percent year on year, of which, the total fiscal and tax revenue and general public budget revenue had a growth of more than 20 percent. The zone is currently in its best development period.
