Daqing Economic＆Technological Development Area

Construction began on the Daqing Economic＆Technological Development Area in 2006. It is located in the northwest of Xicheng district, Daqing, Heilongjiang province over an area of 323 square kilometers. The area has been listed as a key industrial park in the Harbin-Daqing-Qiqihar industrial corridor, a provincial incubation base for medium and small-sized enterprises and a key industrial park built jointly by the province and the city. In October 2012, it was upgraded to a State-level economic and technological development zone.

The area focuses on five major industries: petroleum and petrochemical equipment manufacturing, automobile manufacturing, new energy, new materials, modern logistics and high-end services.

By the end of 2012, the total fixed asset investment in Daqing Economic＆Technological Development Area reached 21.29 billion yuan ($3.07 billion). In addition, the area achieved a GDP of 9.56 billion yuan in 2012, with an industrial added value of 8.62 billion yuan, a tax revenue of 1.2 billion yuan, and total import and export volume of $580 million.
