Baotou reopens direct flight to Nah Trang, Vietnam

The Baotou – Nah Trang direct flight was relaunched on Dec 10 with the flight VN874 landing at Baotou Airport, according to local media.

The re-opening of the route proved a big success with strong ticket sales. The occupancy rate of flight VN874 was 100 percent.

The flight, operated by Vietnam’s largest carrier Vietnam Airlines on an Airbus A321, will fly once a week.

The five-hour flight leaves Nah Trang at 18:10, and arrives at Baotou Airport at 23:00. The return flight takes off at 24:00, and reaches Nah Trang at 04:50.

Nah Trang, a coastal city in Vietnam, is a renowned tourist destination due to its beaches and scuba diving. Nha Trang Bay is widely considered as being among the world's most beautiful bays. Another highlight of the city is its seafood which is considered the cheapest yet most delicious in Southeast Asia.

The relaunch of the direct flight will provide further convenience for business people traveling between the two regions and boost exchange between North China and Southeast Asia. Also, it is expected to promote Sino-Vietnamese economic and trade exchanges.
