Yancheng High-Tech Industry Development Zone in Jiangsu province was established in April 2006 and became a State-level high-tech industry development zone in February 2015.
Covering 130 square kilometers, the zone has five industrial parks and three clusters concentrating respectively on modern services, agricultural products processing and small and medium-sized scientific and cultural enterprises. The parks are for new materials industry, wind power, modern services, agricultural products processing, and small and medium cultural and technological companies.
A total of 186 projects, each worth over 100 million yuan ($14.4 million), have settled in the area, initially shaping a development pattern integrating four leading industries: wind power and high-end equipment, electronic information, new materials and modern services.
In 2017, Yancheng High-Tech Industry Development Zone saw a regional GDP of 24.53 billion yuan, with import and output value reaching $656 million.
