Majin Lake in Kaihua, a county-level city in Quzhou, Zhejiang province was recently promoted to a State-level water conservancy scenic area, bringing to five the number of such scenic areas in the city, according to the local water conservancy bureau.
The lake, known as the mother river of Kaihua residents, offers high-quality potable and irrigation water.
Starting from 2015, local government repaired the bank and constructed waterparks and a culture showcasing corridor and art gallery along the lake to make it a popular local scenic spot.
The four other State-level water conservancy scenic areas in Kaihua are Xin'an Lake, Wuxi River, Xiali Lake and Moon River.
