A new trademark series of Baping Rice, a brand of rice cultivated in Nandan county, Hechi city, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, was launched in Nanning on Nov 30, promoting one of the most beloved types of rice in China.
Nandan produces many high quality and specialized agricultural products in Guangxi, including Baping Rice. Thanks to a typical plateau climate, Baping village is bestowed with adequate sunshine, abundant rainfall and a large temperature difference between day and night, providing an ideal environment for growing rice.
In addition, Baping has a unique viscous yellow mud and deep, fertile and heavy soil that is rich in nutrients. There are no rivers in the area, so crops are irrigated by natural mountain springs that are rich in minerals. All of these factors come together to provide an exceptional rice-growing environment.
Baping Rice met the criteria to receive a Chinese Landmark Trademark Certificate in 2008, was certified as a Pollution-Free Origin Product in 2011, and was listed as a Green Food in 2013.
