Five waterways meet at the intersection of Jianghai Road and Changping Road, at a point known as "Wushuihui" (five rivers' confluence). It is the only place where the five rivers in Nantong meet, and the Wushui business circle is named after it.

The five waterways are the south section of Tongyang Canal, the north section of Tangyang Canal, Tonglv Canal, Chuanzha River and Shuizha River,

Nantong's Wushui business circle is one of the city's key modern service projects. Located in the core part of Wushui town, which is a major functional area in Nantong, it has 600,000 square meters of commercial building, 300,000 sq m of office building area and 60,000 sq m of hotel building area.

Wushui business circle has become a strategic place to facilitate the Gangzha Economic Development Zone's role as a new industrial city with well-developed production facilities, prosperous businesses, good ecology, and comfortable and fulfilling lives for its occupants. Large shopping malls, such as Wanda Plaza, SEG Plaza, Ikea and 1912 Business Street, have begun to take up occupancy in the circle.
