Zhejiang Transportation Technology Co, formerly known as Zhejiang Road and Port Consulting Company, was established in 2012 with a registered capital of 5 million yuan ($720,000). It is a limited liability company fully funded by Zhejiang Scientific Research Institute of Transport and approved by Zhejiang’s provincial communication department, department of science and technology, and department of finance.

Its business scope includes transport construction projects safety risk assessments (design, construction, administrative permission), third-party construction safety consulting, design consulting (highway, municipal engineering, water transportation), transportation technology scientific research, computer software and hardware development, system integration, environmental monitoring consulting, electronic product research and development, sales, installation and maintenance.

The company has 37 employees, including nine senior engineers, seven engineers, nine graduate students, and six experts who are listed as Zhejiang provincial production safety experts.

Since its establishment, the company has completed more than 400 transportation engineering safety service projects, including most of the provincial expressways and national and provincial highways safety risk assessments, and 17 safety consulting projects. The company is the only professional safety consulting team in the Zhejiang province.
