The Bama Yao autonomous county, Hechi city, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region initiated an international hiking festival on Nov 23, promoting its natural and cultural resources to 3,000 global outdoor enthusiasts.
Hikers from across the country took part in the area's first health-themed event. Foreign participants hailed from seven countries including Germany, the Netherlands, and Sweden.

In addition to a fitness and wellness route, there were three another hiking trails, focusing on revolutionary relics, leisure tourism, and historic culture. With some of Bama's most popular attraction sites scattered along the way, participants were able to enjoy some of the top spots Bama has to offer.
The event was co-sponsored by the Beijing Walking Association, the government of the Bama Yao autonomous county, and Shenzhen Huayu Consortium. It also celebrated the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up and the 60th anniversary of the founding of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
