Jilin launches first mobile police station

Jilin's first custom-built comprehensive mobile police station was launched at Chongqing Road business circle in Changchun, the capital of the province, on Nov 22.

Equipped with multiple high-end technologies, the mobile police station includes a vehicle communication system, a 360 rotating HD camera with wireless bridge technology, a two-way intercom syste,m and law enforcement laptops. The mobile station aims to have a 24-hour security patrol and manage the monitoring of the surrounding areas so as to prevent criminal activities.

Police said that the station-in-a-van will make it easier for people, especially those without transport, to access officers.

It will be used across Chaoyang district, but there is the possibility of similar mobile police stations being used in other districts as well.
