The Mingju Garden is located in the picturesque Jiming Mountain in south Longyou county. There are a total of 34 ancient architectures, including traditional paifang, or memorial archway, ancestral hall, folk residences, stage, bridge and academy of classical learning.
These classic buildings mirror the splendid history and culture of Gumie (Quzhou City used to be Gumie of west Yue kingdom in the Spring and Autumn Period) and offers references for the research on Longyou Business Group, one of the 10 business groups in Chinese history.
The Mingju Garden is a key cultural relic protection site of Zhejiang province and one of China’s two ancient house relocation demonstration sites approved by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage.
