Ice and snow expo to launch in December in Jilin

The 3rd China (Jilin) International Ice and Snow Tourism Industry Expo will be held at the Changchun International Conference Exhibition Center in the northeastern province from December until next March, according to the Information Office of Jilin Provincial Government at a press conference on Nov 20.

The 100,000-square-meter expo, consisting of a 60,000-square-meter interior exhibition area and a 40,000-square-meter outdoor area, is expected to attract around 600 to 800 guests from 21 countries and regions around the world.

The expo, now in its third season, has become a prime promotional event for Jilin's winter tourism sector and an ideal stage for international business cooperation.

The opening ceremony of the expo will be held in conjunction with the 22nd China Changchun Ice and Snow Festival, which is scheduled to run from Dec 20 to 24.

According to the press conference, the event is sponsored by the China Ice and Snow Tourism Promotion Confederation, and co-hosted by the Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Jilin Municipal Government and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism under the guidance of the China National Tourism Administration.
