Guangzhou Development District signed an agreement with the Sino-German Science and Education Park in Heidelberg on Nov 21 to set up offshore innovation centers in both cities to help entrepreneurs.
The two sides will create a joint incubator center for deep collaboration in life science and industry 4.0, with the bidirectional matching of scientific research, capital and market resources. The two sides will also send personnel to exchange studies and experience.
The offshore innovation centers will include offshore research and development centers for enterprises, government offshore service centers, offshore collaborative centers for chambers of commerce, offshore education centers for universities and more. These institutions will promote the transformation and upgrading of the industry by attracting talents, integrating resources, and introducing advanced technologies and high-tech projects.
Guangzhou Science City has built the largest incubator cluster in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Heidelberg is a famous research and development center in Europe with many innovative resources. The cooperation between Guangzhou and Heidelberg will help Guangzhou's innovative life science entrepreneurs engage with Heidelberg's resources and help the academic achievements of universities and scientific research institutions in Heidelberg turn into productivity with incubation resources in Guangzhou.
