5. Yongji Bridge

Yongji Bridge, which was built in the reign of Emperor Hongwu (1368-1398) of the Ming Dynasty, stretches across the Daqing River in Dongping, a county-level city in Tai'an. 

With a length of 165 meters and a width of 7.7 meters, the bridge is the largest in the county. It used to have 18 openings, but now only 13 are left.

The bridge is well preserved and still in use, which is of great value in studying the history of ancient bridges and changes in traffic flows.

6. Cuiying Middle School

The old site of Cuiying Middle School, now known as Tai'an No 1 Senior High School, was initially a church school founded by a US mission society in 1899 when it offered single-sex education for both boys and girls.

The boy's school was renamed Tai'an Cuiying Private Middle School in 1905 when the school started to teach a high school curriculum. Due to the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45), the school was abandoned and was not opened until 1948. In 1952, it was separated from the church and officially named Tai'an No 1 Senior High School by the People's Government of Shandong province.

The Cuiying school used to cover 600 sq m and now exists only one building. The building was in a typically gothic architectural style, but its top was removed during renovations at the end of last century. It is the major cultural relic preservation site of Tai'an city.
