3. Xiao Daheng Tomb
Xiao Daheng (1532-1612), a famous politician and strategist of the Ming Dynasty, lived through the reigns of Jiajing (1522-66), Longqing (1567-72) and Wanli (1573-1620) and was favored by both the emperors and the common people.
The construction of Xiao's tomb was completed six years after his death. Covering some 2,000 sq m, the tomb has a 60-meter-long and 8-meter-wide path with well-preserved stone statues along its sides, as well as two 10-meter-high and 4-meter-wide stone memorial archways in front of the tomb.
Xiao's gravestone was destroyed in 1967 but his wife's is still standing.
The stone statues, archways and exquisite carvings are rare and precious artworks. The tomb was listed as a State-level major cultural relic preservation sites in 2013.
