Deng Boqing, vice-chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), met with Hilary Pennington, vice-president of the Ford Foundation, in New York on Oct 27. The two sides exchanged views on international development cooperation.
Pennington welcomed Deng and his entourage to visit the Ford Foundation, saying that the foundation is willing to strengthen exchanges with the CIDCA and seek cooperation in research and data collection, training and capacity building, and project monitoring and evaluation.
Deng said that the CIDCA is willing to enhance understanding and mutual trust with the Ford Foundation, and select projects in areas of mutual interest to explore practical cooperation, jointly promote the construction of the Belt and Road and implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
After the meeting, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
