Intl film festival to debut in Hainan

 Preparations are underway in Hainan as the island province gets ready to hold the 1st Hainan Island International Film Festival from Dec 9 to 16 in the coastal city Sanya.

Relying on international conventions, the festival will include an opening ceremony, a closing ceremony, outstanding film screenings and themed forums.

It will apply a new pattern incorporating people, regions and industrial chains to build a platform facilitating exchanges, cooperation and trading among international films who can make the most of the preferential policies of the pilot free trade zone.

The organizing committee recently revealed that Isabelle Huppert and Isabelle Adjani, two world-renowned French actresses, will appear at the film festival.

More celebrities in the film industry will be invited to help make the festival professional, academic, market-oriented and popular.
