Harbin No 1 Hospital has become the affiliated hospital of Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), according to information released at a signing and nameplate unveiling ceremony held at Harbin Institute of Technology, on Nov 7.
The move is aimed at boosting scientific research, utilizing the strengths of both sides to help boost the local healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.
Harbin No 1 Hospital is a highly-rated 105-year-old comprehensive hospital, according to China’s hospital classification standards. As well as treating patients, it also takes part in research and disease prevention work.
Founded in 1920, Harbin Institute of Technology is an open, multidisciplinary, research-oriented, leading national university with science and engineering as its core. The institute also offers courses in management, liberal arts, economics and law.
