Jilin National High-tech Industrial Development Zone

Jilin National High-tech Industrial Development Zone was founded in downtown Jilin city in 1992 as a provincial-level high-tech zone. It has become the industrial core of the Changjitu area (Changchun city, Jilin city and the Tumen River region) in Jilin city ever since.

The zone can be divided into two districts: the southern district and the northern district. The former nurtures the city's automobile manufacturing and equipment manufacturing industry. A series of electronic information technology enterprises are also based in the 22.08-square-kilometer area, including the Sino-microelectronics Co Ltd and the Jilin Data Center Industrial Park.

It expects to attract six large scale industrial bases and 30 provincial-level technology centers to the district and build a first-class high-tech industrial district by the year of 2020.

While the northern district, 13 kilometers from downtown Jilin city, endows a great deal of regional advantages. The Jilin-Changchun highway and the Jilin-Changchun railway help introduce some new industries and cutting-edge technologies to the district.

The district mainly focuses on the areas of smart equipment manufacturing, public technology services and new material development and manufacturing.
