China's first research and development (R&D) and processing center for high-pressure and low-temperature food processing has recently been established in Shanghai with equipment manufactured by Shanxi province.
High-pressure processing (HPP) is a method of preserving and sterilizing food, in which a product is processed under very high pressure, leading to the inactivation of certain microorganisms and enzymes in the food. It has a limited effect on covalent bonds within the food product, thus maintaining the sensory and nutritional aspects of the product.
The technology is widely used in food production and represents the most advanced sterilization and preservation level in the world.
Shanxi Haipurui Technology Co is the first HPP equipment manufacturer in China. With the support of Haipurui Technology, the 5,000-square-meter HPP R&D Center in Shanghai is currently the leading HPP food R&D and processing base in Asia.
