Light industry products expo held in Dalian

The 10th China (Dalian) Light Industry Products Expo was held at the Xinghai Exhibition Center in Dalian, Northeast China's Liaoning province, from Nov 1 to 5, attracting more than 80,000 purchasers and visitors, with volume of transactions and intention agreements reaching 270 million yuan ($39 million).

The five-day expo covered an exhibition area of 15,000 square meters, offering more than 600 booths for businesses from more than 20 Chinese provinces and cities.

Products from hundreds of time-honored brands were on display, covering food, clothes and furniture.

During the event, China National Light Industry Council gave awards to 48 companies for their innovation in products, with six Dalian companies winning gold awards.
