A Sino-German vocational training center on new energy automobile industry inaugurated at Yizheng Technician College on Nov 5, welcoming its first batch of 13 trainees who are teachers from vocational schools in Yangzhou.
Being the only one in China built under the German standards, the center aimed to cultivate more talents to boost the development of new energy automobile industry in Yizheng, where many companies in automobile industry are based.
The overall investment of the center was expected to reach 10 million yuan ($1.45 million), turning the center into a national-leading talents training center that meets international qualification through a three-phase construction.
Advanced laboratories, along with Germany master studios and other supporting facilities were designed to work with online teaching methods such as virtual stimulation education to provide high-quality education for the trainees.
Zhao Jianfang, vice Mayor of Yizheng, said Yizheng has been carrying out cooperation in vocational education with Germany for many years and the launching of this new training center would take the cooperation between two sides to a new stage.
Wang Zhiqiang, president of Yizheng Technician College, said the center would learn from Germany in many areas such as lessons, qualifications and training to fill up the blank space in the field.
