Sujin Energy Holding Co, a joint energy company between Shanxi and Jiangsu provinces, established its headquarters in Shuozhou city, Shanxi province, on Nov 5.
To take the energy partnership between Shanxi and Jiangsu provinces to the next level, six energy companies from the two provinces signed an agreement in Taiyuan on Feb 5 to establish Sujin Energy Holding Co.
According to the agreement, the joint company which has 6 billion yuan registered capital ($864.96 million) will oversee five energy projects in Shanxi with a total installed capacity of up to 5.16 million kilowatts.
The company operates and invests in the Jinbei (Northern Shanxi) - Nanjing 800kv High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission project besides supplying and selling electricity to Jiangsu province through the HVDC channel.
In order to expand economic collaboration between the two regions, the company plans to carry out investment and consulting business in coal mining and trade of coal fuel and natural gas.
