Yangzhou companies seek cooperation in CIIE

During the first China International Import Expo that commenced on Nov 5, Yangzhou companies have shown great enthusiasm in seeking cooperation opportunities.  

A total of 634 Yangzhou companies signed up to participate in the expo, covering various fields such as catering services and machine manufacturing, with their intension purchase reaching over $20 million.

Mechanical and Electrical Products and high-tech products, two main focuses of companies at the CIIE, were the main imported goods of Yangzhou, which counted up to half of the total import value of the city in the first three quarters of this year.

Zhao Youshan, general manager of Yangzhou Tonglee Reefer Container Co Ltd, the first reefer container manufacturer in China established in 1995, said the company would make full use of the expo to learn more about the latest development of containers and seek for cooperation projects.

"A lot of world's top-500 companies have brought latest products and cutting-edge technologies to the expo, contributing immensely to the high-quality development of Yangzhou's economy and the upgrading of advanced manufacturing," said a person in charge of Yizheng Municipal Bureau of Commerce, a satellite city of Yangzhou.
