4. Dongshu Garden
The Dongshu Garden is located south-west of Dongshu town in Ningyang, a county-level city of Tai'an, adjacent to Qufu – the hometown of Confucius and the Dongping Lake – the only remaining lake mentioned in Water Margin.
Considered as one of China's four great classics, Water Margin, (also known as Outlaws of the Marsh), depicts the 108 heroes of peasant uprisings.
The garden has been one of the achievements made by the town's great efforts to develop its ecological tourism. In recent years, the planting area of green seedlings and various kinds of seasonal flowers and plants has reached 45,000 mu (3,000 hectares) in the place, attracting an average number of more than 100,000 tourists every year.
