Wulajie Manchu Town, a small town 15 kilometers from downtown Jilin city, is renowned for its unique ethnic culture and beautiful rime scenery.

Though the population is no more than 80,000, one third of them are Manchu minorities. The Manchu elements can be seen everywhere, buildings, foods, wedding customs..... visitors can also be invited to the worships of Shaman people.

Rime in Wulajie Manchu Town is regarded as one of the four meteorological wonders in China, along with the sea of clouds of Huangshan Mountain, the sunrise on Taishan Mountain and the tide of the Qiantang River. A great deal of visitors flood to the rime island in Wulajie Manchu Town every year.

Unlike other places, here in Wulajie Manchu Town, rime can last for a long time. Visitors can enjoy the stunning silver trees from December to February.  

The temperature in winter can drop to nearly 20 degrees below zero. Visitors need to bring more clothes and water-proof boots to cope with the cold weather.
