Ruili Airlines launched a new flight connecting Shenyang, Liaoning province to Sihanoukville in Cambodia, on Nov 1.
The new flight will stop in Fuzhou, Fujian province, providing more choice and extra convenience for passengers traveling between China and Cambodia.
Sihanoukville is the largest port city in Cambodia, and the new route will be operated daily by a Boeing 737-800. With the start of the new flight, the journey to Sihanoukville from Shenyang will be shortened by more than 15 hours, and by more than 13 hours from Fuzhou.
In 2017, tourism numbers between Cambodia and China reached a new high, with more than one million Chinese tourists visiting the country. China is currently the largest source of tourists for Cambodia, and the new route is expected to further boost links between the two countries.
